Work dog standards have been around as long as standards have existed, allowing for merit to be placed on the performance of anyone who works on a professional level with a K9. The problem, as we at PMPWDS see it, the world is changing but the working dog standards have stayed the same. We at PMPWDS find this to be unacceptable as standards in other industries are continually evolving. There can only be one way forward and that is a new standard to fit in our modern world that is trainable in a humane training procedure that produces a 100% reliable outcome.
Also it cannot be that the standards that a team certified with is not comparable to how the team is working.
For this PMPWDS created standards that are comparable to the actual work a k9 team does.
